TWINE, TWINE, YOU'RE SO FINE

Ciao'd with a caipirinha and women's gymnastics.

Twine, twine, you're so fine,
You're so fine, I'll make you mine.
Hey, twine, twine!

Twine, twine, you're so cool,
You're so cool, you get a spool.
Hey, twine, twine, you ain't no fool!

Twine, wrap the herbs so fine,
Wrap 'em, wrap 'em, you're sublime.
Hey, twine, twine!

STYLE NOTE

HERB BASTING BRUSH

An herb basting brush not only imparts subtle herbal flavor to grilled foods but it's disposable, too. And who doesn't love that?

Gather fresh herbs into a bunch and secure with twine. Woody stemmed herbs, such as rosemary, bay, and thyme work best but feel free to tuck more delicate favorites, such as oregano and mint, into the basting brush. The longer the stems, the better, as this will protect your hands from the heat.

And just a note: If you're using bay, please be sure it is an edible variety such as California Bay Laurel.
